I was 23 when I was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. I found it hard to talk about, even with friends. But eventually I stopped putting it off, quit my job, and set off with my girlfriend, now wife, Lucy, to see as much of the world as we could.
Over the next year we visited 35 countries. It was one of the best experiences of my life.
But it wasn't easy. As my mobility declined, I saw how exhausting travel could be when accessibility hadn't been properly thought through, and support was hard to find. Something described as "accessible" too often wasn't.
How Limitless Started
We booked a boat trip in the Galápagos after being told it was fully accessible. In reality, I had to climb between two moving boats to get on board, and my leg got trapped between them. It was frightening, and it showed me how often disabled travellers are asked to trust people who don't truly understand their needs.
A Moment That Stayed With Me
Making a Change
When I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about how many people wanted to travel but didn't have the confidence to, through lack of support or opportunity.
So I built the company I wished had existed for me. One based on real accessibility, thoughtful planning, and genuine understanding.
Whether it's a disability, a health condition, caring responsibilities, or just needing a little extra support, everyone deserves to travel and see the world. That's what Limitless is here to help make possible.
